Conclusions RU will NOT control this Palmer biotype. Three inch Palmer was not effectively controlled by RU + Staple (0.6 oz/A). Several 0.5 in Palmer also escaped. Staple or Reflex PRE when mixed with Prowl provided excellent early season control.
Conclusions 4. If a biotype obtains resistance to Staple and Roundup, no topical herbicide options in RR or conventional cotton. 5. Residual herbicides will be recommended 3 times during the season. 6. If residual herbicides do not contact the soil or if rainfall is not timely, production may be devastated.
